Green & White Fruit

Oooh !
Now we are getting somewhere---
Incredible flavors await those with patience; Most 'Green' 'maters will show a little hint of amber yellow on the 'shoulders' when they ripen; a sure tell of sumptuousness. For the last two years "Green Doctor's" has been a favorite, so I expanded this section for 2013; Lots of folks asked, so more 'White' fruits for 2014!
***Minimum Order is Only 5 Plants*** all prices include s/h

Ind. 80 days. Heirloom green beefsteak with a deliciously sweet flavor that's enhanced by a spicy undertone. Globe-shaped fruits are smooth skinned, 12 to 16 oz., with light green skins at maturity and just a hint of yellow. Flesh is green blushed with pink; meaty, and flavorful. Makes tasty juice!

Green Sausage
Sausage-shaped 4" fruits are defined by yellow stripes, revealing kiwi-like green flesh when sliced. Bushy plants produce 6 to 8 fruits per truss, and require only moderate staking for high yields. Very ornamental, but also flavorful enough to hold its own with the best of the paste tomatoes.

Lime Green Salad - back by customer demand!!!
Diminutive plants bloom with bouquet-type sprays followed by loads of small lime green tomatoes that ripen further to amber. 3 to 5 oz. fruit is chartreuse inside and full of juice and good, tangy flavor that is somewhat spicy. This is a wonderful variety for growing in containers since plants stay small yet provide a big harvest. If planting in the garden, put these in front as an attractive border. Very tasty and novel variety. Determinate. 58 days.

Cherry & Small fruited Varieties:

Dr. Carolyn - New for 2016 - replaces White Cherry

Round fruit are about 1 inch in diameter and ivory-white deepening to pale yellow. The flavor is not just sweet, but also complex and nicely balanced with acid. Very productive vines. Indeterminate. 75 days. Text from TGS (c)

Frosted Green Doctors - A favorite 'Cherry'
Ind. 70 days. This is our favorite green cherry variety, having a good sweetness and lots of flavor as well. Named after Dr. Amy Goldman and Dr. Carolyn Male who have both written great tomato books. We offer two slight variations that we collected and mixed together. One is a yellowish-lime green fruited version; the other is the frosted version which is a pale, frosty-looking kiwi green. Both are delicious and well worth eating, but the frosted one is somewhat sweeter, and the lime one is more tangy. Large vines produced huge yields of these little cherries.

Much less tartness, more mild with good sweetness. Very positive response at the Farmers Market. As I ran out later in the season, customers kept asking about them.
